TERRIBLE ACCIDENT AT THE II POZOBLANCO’s RALLYSPRINT

The event, valid for the Andalusian Championship, was cancelled because of the death of two spectators.
The accident took place the 21st of May about 4:10 pm when a rally driver lost the control of the car and run over two spectators at the Km 8th of the CO-6410 road.

La presentación Oficial del Seat Ibiza Kit Car, con el que el Equipo de Competición CRUZ-THULE participará en el Campeonato de Andalucía de Rallyes, tuvo lugar el pasado jueves día 6 en el Hotel El Mirador (Rute) a las 20:30. Se trata de un Ibiza Kit Car Evo 2, fabricado sobre la base del Seat Ibiza con un motor de 1.984 centímetros cúbicos que entrega una potencia de 260 cv a 8.400 rpm. En el acto estuvieron presentes piloto y copiloto, Francisco Jiménez y Carlos Chamorro respectivamente; el presidente de la Federación Andaluza de Automovilismo, Vidal Castro; el presidente de la Escudería Sur, Francisco García Galera; el Director General de Cruzber, Gregorio Cruz; y el Alcalde de Rute, Francisco Javier Altamirano. “Además de piloto, que siempre lo tuvimos, este año tenemos coche…” afirmaba Francisco García Galera, presidente de la Escudería Sur (bajo cuyos colores compiten Jiménez y Chamorro). Ahora, tras diversos ajustes en el Ibiza Kit Car y varios tests, el último de ellos en Setenil (Cádiz), todo está preparado para un apasionante inicio de temporada los próximos 28 y 29 de marzo en el 6º Rallye de Montilla. |
